3 and a half Cheeses

Mahon Reserva from Whole Foods.

$13.99 / lb

~ Pasteurized Cow’s Milk

It’s very crumbly and hard to cut. The outside looks like a potato. Nice, long finish. We initially only gave this two cheese, but later realized it left us craving more.

This cheese came highly recommended by the super cool cheese salesperson, Dayna, from WF. She was also the one who told us about Gordonzola and The Cheese Mistress.

It goes great with watermelon!

4 and a half Cheeses

Last night was a most enjoyable dining extravaganza at the Texas de Brazil.

We deemed it Cheesy Adventure blog-worthy as we devoured at least four different types of cheeses, as well as a cheesy poof pastry… mmmmmm….

The cheesy delights were:

  1. French Goat Cheese Terrine
  2. Provoleta (grilled provolone)
  3. Manchego Cheese (from Spain)
  4. Grana Padano (from Italy)

Here’s a photos of some of the goodies we left with (key lime pie to go, match box, after dinner candy, commemorative Texas de Brazil pen, and the traditional stop-go flipper).

Overall, it was a four and a half (out of five) cheese evening.

“It was Gouda!!!” Creamy mouth. Love the baked crust. Samm wished it could’ve been just a little dryer.
